With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melva J. Johnston of La Porte City, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melvin Owen and Nelma Owen (Milks); her husband Steven C. Johnston; her children, Richard Felderman (Sheri) of La PorteCity, Kim Kulish (Eric) of Waterloo, Jennifer Kulish of Waterloo and Tracy Baribar of Fort Dodge; her stepchildren, Brandon Calvert of Waterloo and Nicole White of Waterloo; her siblings, Linda Handy of Altoona, Sandra Buck (William) of Corpus Christi, TX and Bennie Owen (Susie) of Norwalk, IA; her grandchildren, Aidan Felderman, Dylan Felderman, Isabella Felderman, Liberty McKiney and Heaven Sliekers (Trent); and her sisters, Georgette and Barbara Jean Owen. She was also cherished by three great-granddaughters.
