She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Baumert and Jean Baumert (Patterson); and her brother Eric Baumert. She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Schaver (Aaron) of Waterloo and Laura Jones of Union Grove, Wisconsin; her grandsons, Keenan Thyen (Michaela Stanerson), Kolten Thyen-Pennington, Ian Schaver (Emily), Evan Schaver, Rashawn Thyen and D'Anthony Thyen; her stepmother Irene Baumert of Burlington, Iowa; and her siblings, Karen Baumert of North Liberty, Sara Starr of Iowa City, Iowa, Mark Baumert of Washington, Iowa and Tracy Baumert of Washington, Iowa. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Calling hours will begin 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, with the family present to receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A general memorial has been established.
