He is survived by: his spouse Helene Mangrich; his children, Gene Lutgen of Cedar Falls, Donald Lutgen of Waterloo and Connie Gardner (Gary) of Gilbertville; and his sister Rita Weber of Gilbertville. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren.
