With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Mark Bacus (Knoxville, Iowa), born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 4, 2024 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bacus and Altheo Bacus (Hyslope); his wife Janet Sue Pendroy; his son-in-law Brian Kitt; his brother Richard Bacus; his siblings-in-law, Ann Pendroy, Tink Pendroy, Sid Vander Ploeg and Don Pendroy; his nephew Hung Luu; his niece Jackie Mantia; and also, Dale and Mae Pendroy.
He is survived by: his significant other Ed Pearson; his daughters, Stephanie Kitt of Ankeny and Selena Bacus of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Logan Bacus, Abigail O'Brien, Rorie O'Brien and Landon Kitt; his great grandchild Nova Lynn McMichael; his brother Charles Bacus; and his in-laws, Linda Bacus, Jim Pendroy (Natalie), Richard Pendroy (Pat), Jack Pendroy and Diane Vander Ploeg.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (102 Willetts Dr, Knoxville, IA 50138).
