It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stephen David Porter (Knoxville, Iowa), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph H. Porter Jr. and Dorothy Sweem Porter; and his close friend Yvonne. He is survived by: his former wife Bonnie Hodgson; his family Steve; his daughters, Amanda Greubel (Josh) and Melodie Smith (Chris); and his grandchildren, Benen Greubel, Nya Greubel, Marjorie Smith and Ricky Smith. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home (301 N 2nd St, Knoxville, IA 50138). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to The Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa or the Marion County Humane Society, in honor of Steve's generous spirit and love for his community.
