She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Krachel and Pearl Krachel (Stockten); her son Todd Kline; her sister Shirley Dorsey; and her nephew Larry Dorsey.

She is survived by: her former husband Jerry Kline; her significant other Frank John Lobel; her children, Thomas Kline (Amanda Harris) of Newton, Timothy Kline (Charity) of Altoona and Dyan Mitchell (Paul) of Knoxville; her daughter-in-law Cassie Kline of Conway, AR; her grandchildren, Zoe Kline, Peyton Kline, Devin Kline, Zachary Ferguson, Nick Kline, Caitlin Mitchell and Allyson Kay Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Bryer and Chloe.

Memorials may be given in Kay's memory to Pella Comfort House and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
