Roger Dean Deyoung Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Dean Deyoung of Knoxville, Iowa, born in Sigourney, Iowa, who passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold DeYoung and Mary Beal DeYoung; and his brother Charles "Chuck" DeYoung. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Wright of Knoxville; his daughters, Shirley Nance (Vernie "Bud") of Knoxville and Carol Taylor (Shawn) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Shawn Nance (Alicia), Aaron Nance (Kristin) and Jill Gomez; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Caleb, Brooke, Kyziah, Cesilya, Ira, Grace, Natalia and Sasha; and his siblings, Marilyn Spain of Kansas, Gary (Vickie Williams) and Howard (Virginia DeYoung). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event. Roger's family requests everyone attending visitation and funeral services to please wear a mask.
