He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roy and Ruth Runnells (Williams); and his wife Virginia Harrington. He is survived by: his daughter Diana Widga (Don) of Polk.

Memorials may be given in Robert's memory to the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
