He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Harnden and Grace Harnden; his son Robert Harnden (Natasha) of Urbandale; his grandchildren, Amelia and Gabriel Carter of Urbandale; and his siblings, Janie Smith (Edward) of Oskaloosa, Kathy Hoch (Clifford) of Lacona, Craig Carter of Pleasantville, Jeff Carter (Linda) of Knoxville and Melody Gray (Dave) of Runnells. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
