He is survived by: his parents, Peter Kneip and Alvina Kneip (Plendl); his close friend Carol Ann Murray; his children, Kim Gethmann (Jeff) of Marshalltown, Dave Kneip (Julie) of Waverly and Paul Kneip (Lora) of Corpus Christi; his wife Carole; his siblings, Roddy, Gary and Marlene Harpenau; his brother-in-law LeRoy Harpenau; and his niece Linda Kneip.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knoxville Public Library, the American Heart Association or to St. Anthony Catholic Church for Masses.
