He was predeceased by: his parents, Mart Laird and Betty Simmons; his son Jeremiah; and his brothers, Lawrence and Jim Laird.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Laird of Knoxville; his children, Shawn Laird of Knoxville, Chisolm (Stephanie Laird) of Bevington, IA, Daniel (Shandra Laird) of Palm Coast, FL and Kim Laird of Knoxville; his stepdaughters, Teresa and Annie; and his brothers, Steve, Richard and Farris Laird. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
