She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jonathan Jones and Tressa Altheo Shilling; her daughter Gwen Jones; and her former husband Donald Van Loon. She is survived by: her husband Dick Sterling; her children, Vicki Tonda (Richard) and Ross Sterling (Susan); her son-in-law Randy Jones; her sisters, Lucretia Spaur and Louretta Redding; and her brother-in-law Hubert Parker. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
