He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Asher and Fern Gorsuch Asher; his stepson Timothy Lobberecht; his brother Dwight Asher; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnne Asher and Evelyn Asher.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Asher of Knoxville; his children, David Asher (Loretta) of Bishopville, James Asher (Christy) of Milton, Ernie Asher (Tracy) of Wilber, Michael Asher of Bonaparte, Iowa and Lisa Garrison (Shawn) of Knoxville, Iowa; his stepson Steven Lobberecht of Kansas City, Missouri; and his brothers, Bill Asher of Altoona and Jerry Asher of Beacon. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
