He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Agan and Madge Agan; and his brother Marvin Agan. He is survived by: his wife Carol Dawn Agan; his sons, Steve Agan (Vickie) and Matt Agan (Shawn); his grandchildren, Sarah Payne (Ken), Brad Agan, Jac Agan (Samantha) and Jada Agan; and his great grandchildren, Otis, Madelyn and Michael. He is also survived by nephews, relatives, and friends.

Memorials may be given in Gordon's name to Knoxville Fire and Rescue.
