It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Goodwin Jr. in Knoxville, Iowa, born in Lovilia, Iowa, who passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick and Mary Goodwin, Sr.; his wife Helen Guthrie Seibert; his children, Rex Seibert, Carl Seibert and Jeannie Fincher; and his sisters, Alberta, Mary and Pat.
He is survived by: his children, JoEllen Bingham, Brette Bird, Kyle Goodwin, Kevin Goodwin (Kathy) and Sidinia Dwigans (Dave); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kallie, Katie, Selina, Sheena, Tammy, Travis, Joey, Adam, Gregory, Tim, Jennifer, Frank and Carly; his sister Evelyn Langman (Bill); and his close friend Bullett. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren.
Memorials are requested to the Knoxville VFW of which he was a longtime member. Memorials may be given in his memory to the Knoxville VFW Post 3519.
