He is survived by: his wife Teresa Dunkin; his children, Floyd Goemaat III of Knoxville, Brian Goemaat of Knoxville, Jason Patience of Arkansas and Amber Goemaat of Knoxville; and his siblings, Judy Wolfe, Jerri Hall and Pat Tille.

Memorials may be made to the Food Bank of Iowa.
