With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Arlene (Shappell) Richardson of Knoxville, Iowa, who passed away on May 31, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Shappell and Edna Shappell (McVey); her husband Jim Sherlock; and her siblings, Larry Shappell, Charles Shappell and Doris Piekema.
She is survived by: her former spouse Lotis Richards; her children, Kathy Gay (Milo) of Knoxville, James Sherlock (Lepita) of Mexico and Kevin Sherlock (Janet) of LeClaire, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jeremy Sherlock (Jill), Milo Gay III (Dani), Jamey Mooney (Phillip) and Christy Sherlock; and her great grandchildren, Shelby, Shiann, Paige, Erin, Mylah, Milo IV and Leighton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to her family and will be determined on a later date.
