She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Joseph and Flora Mae Lehr; her husband Charlie Smith; and her siblings, Mary "Biddy" Elizabeth Eaton, Richard Lehr, Julia "Judy" Badwey and William "Bill" Lehr.

She is survived by: her sister Catherine Joann (Joannie); her children, Kelly Smith of Winterset, IA, Andy Smith (Emily) of Papillion, NE, Clay Smith (Kayt) of Knoxville, Jay Smith (Laura) of Knoxville, Dave Smith (Julie) of Knoxville and Amy Leavitt (Eddie) of Knoxville; and her siblings, Patricia Evans, Joan Lewis and James Lehr. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
