It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carole Joan Flatau in Knoxville, Iowa, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on October 2, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Paulson and Dorothy Paulson; and her husband Donald Flatau. She is survived by: her sisters, Myrtle Elmore and Janet Morris; and her children, Christine Meyers (Lee), Carrie Kraft, Alan (Audra Zdnich) and Neil. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
This past year she has been living in a nursing home in Knoxville, IA where Christine and Carrie live, and could visit daily, until the pandemic.
