He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Augustus and Ida Frances Stevens Cox; his brother Burdette; his significant other Katie Moss; his children, Carla Renee (David) and Frank Edward (Mandi); his siblings, Burdett Cox, Bill Cox, Marie Angel, Millie Brock, Alice Kaster and Mary Foster; his children, Charlie Moss and Norma Jean Langstraat; his granddaughter Misty Shea Burns; his sister Lucille Robinson; his daughters, Karen Golston (Steve) and June Fort (Randy); his son-in-law Dennis Langstraat; his grandchildren, Eddie Burns, Stephanie Langstraat, Tami Langstraat, Kenneth Wilson, Natalie Humphrey (Chad), Tonya Small (John), Benji Dommer (Chris), Cory Dommer (Kelsie), Nathan Golston (Kayla), Billy Golston (Marcy), Ali Campbell, Sarah McGrail (Doug), Rachel Fort, Matthew Fort, Erika Bauer, Kyl Bauer, Tristan Bauer and Noa Bauer; and his sister-in-law Shirley Crawford. He was also cherished by many kids, grand kids, great grandkids and great, great, grandkids.

Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 136 in Albia Iowa in which he was a member for over 65 years.
