She was predeceased by: her parents, Marsailus Goemaat and Reka Goemaat (Slykhuis); her husband Harlan Pearson; her son Duane Pearson; and her grandson Jeff Johnson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Pettyjohn (Buck) of Knoxville and Robbie Johnson (Frank) of Oskaloosa; her sisters, Helen Neifert of Knoxville, Marcella Rook of Pella and Ruby VanVark of Pella; her grandchildren, Ryan Pettyjohn (Cassi), Jennifer TenClay (Tim), Brett Johnson (Rachel), Brenda Galassi (Craig), Holly Pearson (Donna) and Kristen McCombs (Eric); her stepgrandchildren, Bret Pettyjohn (Tracy) and Tanya Beebe (Greg); her great grandchildren, Lance, Sophia, Hannah, Petra, Colt, Isabel and Harper; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Trenton, Lucas, Garret and Hunter; and her great great grandchild Jax.

Memorials may be given to Zion United Methodist Church and will be used for improvements at the Cemetery.
