She is survived by: her children, Marlene Alcorn, Delores Cowman (Gary) of Knoxville, IA, Debbie Montz (Neil) of Corydon, IA, Linda Houge of Williams Bay, WI, Bob Bassett (Valerie) of Bussey, IA, Jim Bassett (Betty) and John Bassett (Bobbi) of Knoxville, IA; her siblings, Vivian Shrader of Warsaw, MO, John Haugland (Barb) of Solon, IA, Ron Hoover (Barb) of Russell, IA, Doyle Hoover (Janet) of Chariton, IA and Kenneth Hoover of Indianola, IA; her siblings-in-law, Kenneth Bassett of Winterset, IA, Alvin Bassett (Shirley) of Waukee, IA and Ethel Bassett of Columbia, MO; her siblings, Keith Hoskins of Risen, AR, Vern Hoover of Chariton, IA, Loretta Callison of Derby, IA, Sandy Rice of Longview, WA and Shirley Davis of Knoxville, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Marvin Bassett of Knoxville, IA, Harold Bassett of Hannibal, MO, Ruth Edwards of Chariton, IA and Mary King of Des Moines, IA.. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren (plus 1 on the way); and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

To accommodate COVID 19, visitation will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2PM to 7PM, without Betty's family present.
