It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara A. Ristau of Klemme, Iowa, born in Britt, Iowa, who passed away on July 25, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Trca and Rose Trca (Schaefer); and her son Reed. She is survived by: her former husband Gary Frein; her husband Don Ristau; her children, Sheila Baldwin (Brad) of Iowa City, Amy Butterfield (Adam) of Nevada, IA, Kristina Nolte (Christopher) of Goodell, Ryan Ristau of Garner and Rick Ristau (Darcy) of Garner; her grandchildren, Michael Butterfield, Sasha, Kira Baldwin, Hunter, Paisley Nolte and Huxley Ristau; her siblings, Steven Trca of Ames, Stan Trca of Garner and Sandra Trca of Fort Collins, CO; her pet Jasper Joe; and also Caden Black. She is also survived by other extended family and friends.
To protect and care for those with serious health conditions, the family respectfully requests guests wear masks at the visitation and memorial service.
