He was predeceased by: his father Robert Martin; his father-in-law Velere Stromer; his nephew Cody Glidden; his grandparents, Lloyd, Cleora Martin, Frank and JessieMaye Michalek; his cousin Todd Michalek; and his uncle Wayne Cordes.
He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Martin (Michalek); his daughter Abby; his wife Vallie Martin; his daughter Abigail; his grandchildren, River and Rowan; his sisters, Theresa Glidden (Travis) and Kristine Whyle (Marc); his mother-in-law Juanita Stromer; his sisters-in-law, Andrea Robinson (Dwayne) and Jackie McGrail (Eric); his aunts and uncles, Gerry Christiansen (Jim), Elsie Dutcher, Michael Michalek (Charlotte), Tony Michalek (Jan), John Cordes (Sharon), Millie Stromer, Val Stromer (Mildred) and Jeanne Stromer; his nieces and nephews, LaRiessah Thompson, DreStan Thompson (Becky), Autumn Gnerer (Nick), Tristin Peterson (Lane), Ty Glidden (Kealey), Blazek Whyle (Mackenzie), Aspen Whyle (Gabriela), Nakia Stromer and Katherine McGrail; his great-nieces and great-nephews, RJ, Amari, Decker, Croix, Blakely, Maverick, Lydia, Madison and Maclyn; and his pets, Rocky, Toby, Remington and Power Stroke.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (810 State St, Garner, IA 50438).
