He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Auen and Janice Auen (Epsen); his grandson Devon Auen; his sister Joyce (Ron Siepker); his brother-in-law Milton Giermann; and his children, Michelle and Mark.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Giermann of Kiron; his children, Dawn (Daryl Potthoff) of Wall Lake, Todd Auen of Denison, Trent Auen (Mollie Mortensen) of Kiron, Deborah (Tim Isleb) of Nevada and Tyson Auen (Linda Thornton) of Charter Oak; his grandchildren, Brett, Derek, Reece and Addison Potthoff; his children, Jordan, Hannah Auen, Wyatt, Walker, Whitlee, Wrynn Auen, Ryne, Wrigley Isleb, Kaya, Raine and Cash Auen; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Jenna and Shelby; and his siblings-in-law, Vernis Giermann (Donna) of Kiron and Marlene Giermann of Denison. He is also survived by nieces, step-siblings and their families, other relatives and friends.
