He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Kohnekamp and LuVerne A. Kohnekamp (Ewoldt); his siblings, Jerry (Belinda), William Kohnekamp (Corlie) and Julia Henkelman (Maurice); his grandson Austin Hugeback; his son-in-law Michael Hugeback; and his sister-in-law Barb Kohnekamp.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kohnekamp (Ang) of Kiron; his brother Vernon Kohnekamp of Dow City; his sons, Jason Kohnekamp (Christine) of Omaha and Jeremy Kohnekamp (Launie) of Hildrizhausen, Germany; and his stepchildren, Tammy Hill of Kiron, Tracy Hugeback of Wall Lake and Ted Aldag (Donna) of Wall Lake. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
