She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Swanson and Berniece Swanson (Larson); her stepfather William Kahler; and her husband Vernon Gustafson. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Ahart (Daniel) of Denison and Melanie Ulmer (Greg) of Harlan, Iowa; her grandchildren, Chris, Allan, Justin Ulmer, Devin and Paige Ahart; and her brother Dr. Doug Swanson of San Diego, California. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
