She was predeceased by: her grandparents, John, Helen Cassens, Mary and Henry Klein; her uncles, Jim Klein and Jack Klein; and her nephew Christopher Cassens.

She is survived by: her parents, John Cassens and Joan Cassens (Klein) of Schleswig; her grandson Atlas; her husband Mark Henkel of Kiron; her children, Miranda Henkel (Andrew Zaug) of Galva, IA, Atlas Zaug and Ethan Henkel of Newton, IA; her siblings, Craig Cassens (Laura) of Faulkton, Chris Cassens (Becky) of Oskaloosa and Carrie Cassens of Schleswig; and her siblings-in-law, Roger, Joyce Henkel of Deloit, Dale, Maureen Neumann of Denison, Mike Henkel (Christy) of Lake City, Tiffany Henkel of Dunlap, Sheri Neddermeyer of Denison and Sheila Chase of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
