He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Powell and Theresa Powell; and his siblings, Ann, Duane and Jack.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Channer; his sister Debbie Schnepp of Cutler, IN; his children, Bill (Linda), Pam Gamble (Doug) of Rockford, IA, Paul Halstead (Tony) of Denver, CO, Dani Crist (Jeff) of McPherson, KS and Cindy Powell Inman of Kingsley, IA; his grandchildren, Jaclyn and Ryan Powell; and his children, Ty, Miranda, Jacob, Christian Gamble, Callie, Jamie, Brady Crist, Robert, Austin Powell and Jessi Inman. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
