He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Virgil, Rosemary Sitzmann, Elmira and Verle Paulson; his parents-in-law, Bert and Annie Grimmius; and his brother-in-law Henry Grimmius.

He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Sitzmann and Dorothy Sitzmann (Goeke) of Kingsley, IA; his wife Linda Grimmius of Kingsley, IA; his children, Ashley Vanegas-Reyes (Moises) and Tyler Sitzmann of Norfolk, NE; and his siblings, Dave Sitzmann (Andrea) of Sherburn, MN and Dani Beelner (Drew) of Kingsley, IA..

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rohde Funeral Home (101 W 2nd St, Kingsley, IA 51028). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kingsley United Methodist Church (305 Barre St, Kingsley, IA 51028). A burial was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Kingsley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsley Fire Department & Ambulance Service, or the charity of your choice.
