He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Gesink and Audrey Gesink (Boone) of Orange City, IA; his wife Nancy; his children, Tim (Kristi), Jeremy Gesink (Jessica) of Sioux Center, IA, Jennifer Bald of Sioux Falls, SD, Melissa Wurth (Doug), Kingsley and Denise Wilson (Scott) of Sioux City, IA.; his mother-in-law Mariana Schnee of Alton, IA.; his grandchildren, Shalee Hofman (Austin), Madison Wurth, Sydney Gesink, Nyiah Gesink, Ethan, Ty Gesink, Taya Gesink, Karson Gesink, Kaitlyn Bald, Xander Wurth, Makai Gesink, Brooklyn Bald and Kash Gesink; his great grandchildren, Kezden and Kovey Hofman; his sisters, Barb Maxwell (Stee), Sue Louwerse (Terry) and Sheri Schafer (Mick); his siblings-in-law, Gina Kleinhesselink (Mike) and Dan Schnee; his sister Peggy Bolluyt; his father-in-law Bill Schnee; and his niece Stacy Davey. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rohde Funeral Home (101 W 2nd St, Kingsley, IA 51028). A prayer was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (208 Brandon St, Kingsley, IA 51028). A burial was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery (330th St, Kingsley, IA).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the KCAC, Kingsley Fire Dept. and Ambulance Service or to the charity of your choice.
