She was predeceased by: her parents, John Goebel and Martha Goebel (Bernard); her husband Lawrence McDermott of Kingsley, IA.; her siblings, Joan Loutsch (Ray), Vivian Homan (Pete), Magnus Goebel (Leona), Linus Goebel (Mildred), Odilo Goebel (Angeline), Firman Goebel and Ivan Goebel; and her siblings-in-law, Thomas Murphy, Mary Ann Goebel and Frances Steffe (Harlan).
She is survived by: her in-laws, Michael McDermott of Granville, IA, Marcene Kreber (Don) of Paullina, IA, Laura Cornelius (Keith) of Council Bluffs, IA, Janet Mouser (Gene) of Groveport, OH, Kathleen Staab (John) of LeMars, IA, Mary Gloden (Jerry) of LeMars, IA and Judy Wagoner (Cary) of Holstein, IA; her daughter-in-law Beth Ebert (Rodney) of Marcus, IA; her siblings, Gerald Goebel of Granville, IA and Mary Murphy of Cherokee, IA; her sister-in-law Roseann Goebel of Worthington, MN; and her sons, Gerald and Marvin. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
