She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Erger and Lucille Erger (Dietrich); and her husband Robert C. Hathaway. She is survived by: her children, Rob Hathaway (Kandon) of Belle Plaine, David Hathaway (Chun) of New York and Chris Vest (Mike) of Belle Plaine; and her grandchildren, Blake Youngman (Nicolle) of Belle Plaine, Chelsey Steckly (Jared) of Williamsburg, Samantha Brecht (Eric) of Amana and Arielle Knapp (Jakob) of Marengo. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
