He is survived by: his spouse Alaina Marie Sauer; his daughter Trista Claire; his parents, Judith Birely of Mechanicsville and George Birely; his stepmother Becky Houska of Anamosa; his brothers, Marvin Birely (Julie) of Marion, John Pearson of Dubuque and Jeremy Birely of Mechanicsville; his stepsiblings, Anthony Houska (Kaytee) of Monticello and Tara Dietiker (Brian) of Anamosa; his father-in-law Brad; his sister-in-law Diana Sauer of Chelsea; and his grandmothers, Estella Unruh of Mechanicsville and Delores Birely of Milan, IL. He is also survived by 19 aunts and uncles; 8 nieces and nephews; 1 great nephew and many, many friends.
