He is survived by: his wife Regina Phillips; his brothers, James Leer, Ronald Leer, Robert Leer (Pat) and Darryl Leer (Beverly); his sister-in-law Joan Leer; his children, Scott Leer, Justin Leer (Rebecca), Ann Wadsworth (Todd) and Amy Nicholson (Joe); and his grandchildren, Caitlin Leer, Jennifer Leer (Logan), Devan Leer (Nate), Allison Leer (Brendon), Kyle Leer (Mallory), Alexis Leer, Audeana Fritz (Levi), Jenna Matias-Garcia (Aldair), Logan Wadsworth, Lexy Powell (Jaemin), Ethan Danner, Zebulun Danner, Naomi Wadsworth and Alexander Nicholson. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James Murphey American Legion or the Keswick United Methodist Church.
