She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael L Hammes and Cecilia Striegel Hammes; her husband Darrell Grimes; her son Don Paarman; and her siblings, Leola Heisdorffer, Agatha Conrad, Dolores Baker, Eveleen Ulin, Beatrice Clubb, Elizabeth Conrad, Edwin Hammes, Lawrence "Bud" Hammes, Marvin Hammes, Kenneth Hammes and Cletus Hammes.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Hicks of Cedar Rapids, Dennis Paarman of Kansas City, Denise Bailey of Enola Pennsylvania, Dee Ann Hoffmeyer of Estherville, Darryl Paarman of Springlake and Dawn Goldman of Sigourney. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with one on the way and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
