She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Simms and Alice Simms (Moberly); her husband Robert M. George; and her siblings, Vera Simms, Laura Simms, Burton Simms and Donald Simms.
She is survived by: her children, Bob George (Cindy) of Iowa City, Bill George of Kingsville, Texas, Sara Manzanarez (Boni) of Farmers Branch and Nancy Gee (Mark) of Centerville; her grandchildren, Kristin Clayton (Shad), Philip George (Erica), Benjamin George, Elizabeth George, Richard Manzanarez (Keily), Elizabeth Harvey (Jordan) and Cassandra Gee; and her sisters, Doris Laughery of San Diego and Ramona Zahn of Webster City. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the Keota Q.R.S., Wilson Memorial Library, United Church of Faith or Hospice of Washington County.
