With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rex Sherman Syfert of Keosauqua, Iowa, who passed away on February 19, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Syfert and Lily Syfert (Warner); his children, Rodger and Lory; his siblings, Martin, Harold, Glen, Kathryn Beer, Ruth Stansbery, Rita Jeffrey and Mary Bradfield; and his son-in-law Jack Branscom.
He is survived by: his wife Elouise Muntz; and his children, Ardith Syfert (Linda) of Jefferson City, Jerry Syfert (Joan) of Keosauqua, Dennis Syfert (Diana) of Birmingham, Dr. Richard Syfert (Lisa) of Bettendorf, Iowa and Susan Branscom of Kirksville, Missouri. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, as well as many extended family and friends.
