She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gwinnup and Gertrude Bowman Gwinnup; her husband Charles Carter; and her siblings, Thelma Madden, Donald Gwinnup, Maurice Gwinnup and Harold Gwinnup.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Carter, Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida and Charlene Holland (Michael) of Moline, Illinois; her grandchildren, Cindy Lamb, Leslie Thompson (Gary), Charles Carter III, Michelle Walker (Dwight) and Matthew Holland; her great grandchildren, Gavin Lamb (Darby), Marissa Biglow (David), Meredith Thompson, Micah Thompson, Mitchell Thompson, Grayson Walker, Carter Holland, Drake Holland and Malaina Holland; her great great grandchildren, Nora Biglow and Lucas Lamb; and her friends, Colleen, June, Pat and Walt.

Memorial contributions in Martha's honor may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
