She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Gire and Minnie McCurdy Gire; her husband Keith Smith; and her granddaughter Regan Smith. She is survived by: her children, Dennis (Cheryl), Anita Miller (David) of Batavia, IA and Kendall Smith of Douds, IA; her grandchildren, Amy Watkins (Clint), Abby Rostetter (Shannon), Justin Smith (Beth), Anthony Stopoulos and Thomas Stopoulos (Tera); and her great grandchildren, Joshua Watkins, Samantha Watkins, Connor Watkins, Ryan Rostetter, Elias Stopoulos, Dimitrious Stopoulos and Rosalyn Stopoulos.
Memorial contributions in Marilyn's honor may be directed to the Christ United Methodist Church or to the Zion Lutheran Cemetery Association and may be mailed c/o Pedrick Funeral Home, P.O. Box 516, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
