He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McCarty and Madeline McCarty; his son Thomas Ray McCarty; and his siblings, Verna, Carolyn, Audrey, Lovenia, Bob, Art, Dick, Jim and Donnie.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Darlene Lewman; his children, Ronnie McRoy, Billie McRoy, Carl McRoy (Barbara), Brenda Powlaski (Terry), Donald Baines (Brandy), Leslie D. McCarty Jr. (Bonnie) and Alex McRoy (Kristen); his grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Stephanie, Karissa, Sarah, Billie Gene, Levi, Brooke, Trent, Josh, Brett and Colton; and his brother Gary McCarty (Judy). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Leslie's honor may be directed to the American Heart Association.
