It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Lou Carter of Keosauqua, Iowa, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo R. Heston and Ruth Larson Heston; her husband Dr. Lewis B. Carter; her siblings, John Heston and Mary Jane Whitney; and her daughter Sarah Carter Rapp.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Carter (Terry) of Loxahatchee and Jeffrey Carter (Diane) of Westminster, Colorado.; and her son-in-law Ted Rapp. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
