It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Marie Chaknine (Keokuk, Iowa), who passed away on August 10, 2018, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Chaknine and Emma West Chaknine; her son Billy Joe Chaknine; and her siblings, William "Bud" Chaknine and Barbara Small.
She is survived by: her friend Ruth Kay; her children, Scott Chaknine of Keokuk, Anita Arquello (Jose) of Elgin, Tammy Ramirez (Juan) of Elgin and Randy Chaknine (Jennifer) of Keokuk; her grandchildren, Amber Lopez (Alex), Ashley Chatfield, Aaron Chaknine, Amy Levario (Isaac), Mike Chaknine, Matt Chaknine, Erica Loiseau (Tyler), Lisa Ramirez, Lexus Chaknine, Adriana Arguello, Julian Arguello, Brooklynn Chaknine and Jonathan Arguello; and her sister Alma. She is also survived by her sister and children and bragged about her grandchildren.
