Susan Rickert Horton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Rickert Horton of Keokuk, Iowa, born in Aurora, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Susan Rickert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Susan Rickert farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Rickert and Ruth Rickert (Symmonds); her brother Mark Rickert; and her daughter Carissa Horton. She is survived by: her son Elias Horton of Keokuk; and her nephew Adam Rickert. She is also survived by three great-nieces; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632-4921). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for expenses in care of Rod Horton.
