He is survived by: his wife Christie Simpson; his children, Scott Mortimer of Lafayette, IN and Keagan Benedict of Donnellson; his stepchildren, Britni Simpson of Des Moines, IA, Korben Benedict of Donnellson and Michael Simpson of Des Moines; his grandson Ezra Parson; his sister Renea Glenn (Bubby) of Keokuk; his grandfather Jack Mortimer of Keokuk; his niece Hailey Mortimer (Brittney) of Keokuk; and his nephew Jerry Glenn of Keokuk. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
