He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Massie and Clara Massie; his wife Carolyn Massie; his brothers, Harold, Glen and Fred Massie; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Millard, Jean and Virginia Massie.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Johnson (Warren) of Carthage, IL; his granddaughters, Kelly Hamm (Josh) of Macomb, IL, Kortney Burling (Luke) of Carthage, IL and Erin Schiller (Jason) of Cohasset, MN; his great grandchildren, Connor, Sydney Hamm, Annie, Brooks, Ronnie Burling, Elsa and Abram Schiller; his siblings, Martha Millard of Arenzville, IL and David Massie (Joan) of Monroe, NC; his sister-in-law Bernice Massie of Urbana, IL; his friends, Jack Curfman and Dennis Hicks; and his pet Chesney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
