He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Palmer and Louise Palmer (Johnson); his in-laws, Everett and Wanda Hammel; and his brother Steven Palmer.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Palmer of Keokuk; his son Daryl Palmer (Sarena) of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Taylor Palmer (Kodi) of Burgaw, Carter Palmer of St. Louis, Landon Palmer of Troy, Adaline Palmer of Hamilton and Izzabella Swinderman of Troy, Illinois; his great grandchild Cameron Palmer of St. Louis, Missouri; and his siblings, Robert Palmer (Patty) of Keokuk, Carol May of Montrose and Danny Palmer (Debbie) of Gladstone, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to City of Christmas or Keokuk Animal Services.
