He was predeceased by: his parents, James Christopher and Bonnie Violet Logan Ludwig; and his brothers, Harold, Keith, Rodney and Dennis Ludwig.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Emry; his sons, Daniel L. Ludwig (Jean) of Keokuk and Gregory L. Ludwig (Cathy) of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Eric Robert Ludwig (Lauren) of Shreveport, LA, Jamie Lynn Morris (Jason) of Quincy, IL and Nathan James Ludwig (Kim) of Keokuk; his great grandchildren, Patrick Ludwig of Shreveport, LA, Weston Morris of Quincy, IL, Ava Ludwig of Keokuk and Madelyn Ludwig of Keokuk; his stepgreat-grandson Garrett Morris of Quincy; his siblings, Jane Martin (Don) of Danville, IL, Connie Otto of Quincy and Lyle Ludwig (Nora) of Canton, MO; and his sister-in-law Geneva Ludwig of LaGrange. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held after 1 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends from 4 – 6 p. m. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 6 p. m. Social distancing requirements will be in place and attendees may be limited according to those requirements.
