He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Francis and Ruth Ethel Brown Ray; his son Wayne Wilcox; and his grandchildren, Julia and Benjamin Gommels.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph "Pete" Ray of Fairfield, IA, Jeremiah Ray of Richland, IA, Robert Rosenow of Keokuk and Amanda Gommels of Steele, KY; his grandchildren, Pamela, Dale Gommels, Greenlee and Gabriel Ray; and his sister Barbara Harden of Bennett, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
