She was predeceased by: her father James Dennis; her husband Sam Adkins; her mother Edith Powell (Sheets); and her siblings, James William Powell and Betty Arterburn.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Nancy Graves (Gerald), D. Peterson (Ross), David Adkins (Mary) and Johnnie Lee Adkins (Cindy). She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Keokuk Animal Services or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
